Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform service on customer & dealer motorcycles in accordance with Harley-Davidson specs
  • Demonstrate prompt, dependable and high quality workmanship
  • Complete repair work within the scheduled or allotted time period
  • Maintain productivity (time spent working on billable jobs) as close to 100% as possible
  • Accept work assignments from Service Writer/Manager
  • Request parts for jobs
  • Ensure proper completion and filing of job paperwork
  • Keep work areas clean and assist others with maintaining shop cleanliness
  • Maintain technical qualification by completing necessary training assigned by Service Manager

Qualifications & Job Requirements:

  • MMI Graduate and/or Harley-Davidson Technician Experience Only
  • Minimum of 5 years in dealership experience 
  • Maintain up to date mechanical knowledge of motorcycles
  • Understanding of computer systems and have good computer skills
  • Enthusiasm for motorcycles – particularly Harley-Davidson
  • Technicians are required to own their own tools
  • Must exhibit a strong work ethic and work well in a team environment
  • Motorcycle endorsement/license required with clean driving record

  • Assist customers with all parts and accessories purchases including offering additional product that may compliment the customers current purchase
  • Accept payment for merchandise purchases and keep cash register and inventory accurate
  • Above all, create an excellent service experience for customers

We have an excellent opportunity for qualified Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF) Rider Coaches to act as instructors for the PennDOT Motorcycle Safety Training program, held at Appalachian Harley-Davidson.  These positions are part-time, seasonal positions.

Current certification as a Motorcycle Safety Foundation Rider Coach is required.  Other desired certifications include MSF BRC, MSF BRC2, First Aid and CPR certifications.

Responsibilities include:

  • Classroom/range preparation and cleanliness
  • Completing end of course paperwork
  • Completing incident reports, if necessary
  • Informing Site Manager of any issues that will or may impact class completion
  • Ensure all certifications required for employment are current and up to date.
